Our department is very similar to a Local Professional Learning Community (LPLC). We are a collegial group who work together to enhance our curriculum and assessments. The department consists of eight teachers who teach at least two Social Studies subjects. We meet formally and informally to discuss curriculum, best teaching practices, and analyze assessment data. We each have our own individual classrooms but we have a conference room with desks where we meet. Our most recent work has focused on how we can incorporate the Economic MLRs into our written curriculum. I volunteered to work on this wiki as a resource for our department. I have been encouraging the other members of the department to add resources or ideas to this wiki as they find them.

The members of our department are:

Angela Martin

Paula Doughty

Don Finley
